Our propritary grades have been developed to accommodate specific applications. Let our experienced engineers help you select the grade that's best for your requirements.
Grades
Submicron Grain
EMT 100 offers high wear resistance and is the universal grade for the
machining of non-ferrous metals, aluminum, copper, porcelain, cast iron,
low-hardness steel and fiber-reinforced materials.
EMT 210 is used in broad applications that utilize rotary carbide tooling.
It provides excellent impact strength and Transverse Rupture Strength (TRS)
for the machining of non-ferrous metals, nickel-alloyed steels, as well as
hardened, alloyed, cast and stainless steel.
Fine Grain
EMT 409 combines cutting edge strength with wear and temperature resistance.
It is ideal for rough milling and drilling heavy materials such as stainless
steel and non-corrosive nickel-based alloys.
EMT 412 is noted for its exceptional Transverse Rupture Strength (TRS) and
heightened edge strength, both of which make it an excellent choice for
applications such as interrupted cut milling and punching.
Ultra-Fine Grain
EMT 609 is an ultra-fine grade used for milling hardened steel (>50HRC). It
is ideal for High Speed Cutting (HSC) for mold construction, wear-resistant
micro-tools, finish spot milling/secondary
chatter reduction and uncoated machining of new composite materials.
EMT 612, an ultra-fine grade, combines excellent impact strength with
Transverse Rupture Strength (TRS) for machining materials hardened up to
64HRC, titanium alloys and high alloyed steels.
